Cover and insert: what to check before refreshing cushions in Peru

Changing a cover can be a simple way to refresh a cushion you already own. Before choosing the pattern, check what the purchase includes, the size you need and how you will care for the piece. The DIC6 Green Leaf Cushion Cover from SIMSA Shop Peru offers an example for this step-by-step review.

A cover and a complete cushion are different

The DIC6 description specifies that it contains one cover and does not include an insert. If you are refreshing an existing cushion, check what you already have. If you also need the inner cushion, budget for it separately before deciding.

The photograph helps you appreciate the leaf motif and colour, but the description confirms the package contents. Do not assume that everything giving a photograph its shape is sold together.

Measure before choosing

This reference is offered in 45 × 45 cm. Check your current cover’s dimensions while it lies flat without stretching, along with the instructions for the insert you plan to use. Fit also depends on the insert’s volume: avoid forcing it if it does not slip in easily.

For a sofa or bed, first test the proportions with a similarly sized cushion. This lets you judge how much space it occupies and whether it is comfortable to move or arrange in daily use, without buying several at once.

Read the material, even when the design looks natural

The leaves on the DIC6 are a decorative motif. Its stated composition is 100% polyester and it is machine made. A botanical pattern does not mean the fabric is a plant fibre or handwoven. Distinguishing the design from the material helps you compare references using specific information.

If you like this design, review its photographs and consider its tone alongside the textiles you already own. Colour may appear different depending on the screen and room lighting.

Check the local price and purchase conditions

On 11 October 2026, the Peru store displayed the 45 × 45 cm DIC6 at S/ 25.00 PEN, with Add to cart enabled. The page stated that taxes were included and shipping was calculated at checkout.

Price and availability may change. Confirm the current price, contents and delivery to your address before paying. This reference belongs to the Peru collection; prices and conditions from another country’s store should not be assumed to apply.

Keep the care instructions handy

The description recommends a delicate cold-water machine wash or hand washing, using mild detergent and avoiding bleach or harsh chemicals. It indicates drying flat or in the shade and, if ironing is needed, using a low temperature.

Check the label before the first wash. Keep the instructions with your purchase information for future reference. Size, contents and care are three small checks that can help prevent an impractical choice.
